Although it initially seemed highly unlikely that Ronald Araujo and Raphinha would be available for Barcelona’s match against Osasuna, the German coach may yet have both players at his disposal – at least for the squad list.

With Barça set to take on Osasuna on March 27, there were major doubts about Araujo and Raphinha’s availability as they will be involved in the World Cup qualifiers for Uruguay and Brazil respectively late on Tuesday night.

That, coupled with the travel time for them to arrive back in Barcelona meant the likelihood of their availability was very slim.

Araujo, Raphinha could become available

However, according to SPORT, Barcelona are working on a plan that would ensure the presence of Ronald Araujo and Raphinha against Osasuna.

As per the report, the plan is for both players to return to Spain on a private jet, along with other South American internationals from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

This includes Jose Maria Gimenez, Federico Valverde, Nahuel Molina, Rodrigo De Paul, Angel Correa, Julian Alvarez, Endrick, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.

Uruguay’s match against Bolivia takes place a few hours before Argentina’s clash with Brazil in Buenos Aires, allowing the Uruguayan players time to travel to the Argentine capital, from where the flight is scheduled to depart.

It remains to be seen if all the listed players from Atletico and Real Madrid will board the flight or if any will delay their return for personal reasons.

From Buenos Aires, Raphinha and Araujo will fly directly to Barcelona, arriving in the Catalan capital on Wednesday evening.

Despite them being set to miss the final training session with the squad, both players could likely be included in the matchday squad. They are expected to start on the bench but could feature in the second half if needed.
