Kean: ‘Fiorentina gave me a great chance, now I hope to repay them’ | OneFootball

Moise Kean said that he hopes to ‘repay’ Fiorentina after the trust they put in him at the beginning of the season, and feels that it is down to him and his teammates to put the team ‘back where it belongs’ following the impressive 3-0 win over Inter on Thursday night.

Kean hit a brace, adding to Luca Ranieri’s second-half opener as a depleted Fiorentina side rose to a memorable victory over the reigning Serie A champions in Tuscany.

Thursday’s game had originally begun on December 1, but was abandoned after 17 minutes after Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch. The game resumed on Thursday night from where it left off, beginning with a Fiorentina throw in with 17 minutes on the clock.

Kean reflects on Fiorentina 3-0 Inter victory: ‘Thanks to my teammates’

“We prepared for the game well. It’s credit to my teammates, who always support me. Thanks to them,” Kean said to DAZN at full-time on Thursday night.

“The goal is to do well and put Fiorentina back where it belongs. They gave me a great chance, now I hope to repay them.”

Kean’s brace helped Fiorentina up to fourth place in the Serie A standings, where they remain level on points with Lazio in fifth. Aside from Milan and Bologna, all teams in Serie A have now played the same number of matches this season.
