Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho is a target for Juventus, but the Bianconeri are struggling to get a deal for the Englishman over the line.
According to Gianluca DiMarzio, Juventus submitted a new bid to sign Sancho, offering €10 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
The Old Lady wants to bring the Englishman to the Allianz Stadium, but the financial conditions are proving difficult.
United want £25 million to sell Sancho. It is unlikely the new offer moves the needle.
Shifting Sancho is crucial for Man United this summer, but the Old Lady keeps lowballing offers for the 25-year-old.
Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea and did not particularly light up Stamford Bridge.
The West Londoners were reportedly open to paying the £25 million for his services, but wanted him to compromise on his hefty £350,000 weekly wages, which he refused.
He returned to Man United and has been plotting a departure. The problem is suitors are not willing to stump up the fee for his services or meet his wage demands.
There were rumours that he is now open to lowering his salary to facilitate his Old Trafford exit.
However, his departure may still be some time away, with Juventus failing to match the Man United asking price.
Hailed as a ‘big talent’ in Germany for his stints with Borussia Dortmund, Sancho has failed to replicate the same performances in England.
A move away from the Premier League could do him a world of good. He looked remarkably better when he rejoined BVB on loan following his struggles at Man United.
Sancho might benefit from playing in Serie A, where the immense focus on tactics makes the game a bit slower.
His lack of straight-line speed was a weakness in the quick-paced Premier League, but he might shine in the Italian top-flight.
