Juventus ready to move on from Vlahovic

Juventus are ramping up their transfer activity on multiple fronts as the summer market opens, working to reshape the squad while still contending with key contract decisions and an injury-hit defence. According to reports from Tutto Juve, Gazzetta, Corsport, Bianconera News, and Spazio J, the coming weeks could see significant movement in and out of Turin.

Central to the club’s plans is the situation surrounding Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker’s position remains unresolved after recent meetings in the United States with Juventus general manager Damien Comolli failed to produce an agreement. Vlahovic, on a €12 million annual salary, has rejected both a pay-cut extension and the idea of an immediate exit, preferring to see out his deal until 2026. This stance has created a point of friction with club management, who view a sale as the financial key to other operations. Vlahovic, described as “irremovable” and reportedly uninterested in a lower wage, leaves the club considering alternative strategies.

Despite the impasse, Comolli is pushing forward with plans to reinforce the attack. The top target is Jonathan David, with negotiations advancing rapidly. Some outlets report that Juventus and the Canadian forward have already agreed terms on a three-year contract worth over €6 million per season, but agent fees remain a hurdle. Club representatives are expected to meet David’s camp again in the United States in a bid to iron out the final details. Sources suggest that Juventus are growing inclined to move on David even if Vlahovic stays, signalling a readiness to shift the project’s offensive core.

Elsewhere in attack, the club is monitoring Jadon Sancho, valued at €25-30 million by Manchester United, and retaining an interest in Porto’s Francisco Conceicao; Porto, though, are standing firm on his €30 million release clause.

Defensively, Juventus are active in response to both a need for an upgrade and injury setbacks—most notably to Riccardo Savona, who will be sidelined for over two months. Marseille’s Leonardo Balerdi is the main option for manager Igor Tudor, but the French club are reluctant to sell unless they sign a replacement. Parma’s young centre-back Leoni is another priority, yet his club are resistant unless a substantial offer arrives; competition for his signature is strong. Further alternatives being considered include Laporte—who would need to take a major pay cut to join from Al-Nassr—and Hancko. Additionally, links continue to surface around prospective deals involving names such as Wesley, Kim, and RB Leipzig’s Lukeba, the latter possibly as part of a swap involving Mbangula.

On the contract front, Juventus are working to extend Kenan Yildiz’s deal to 2030 after his impressive progress, with talks ongoing. The club also aims to secure longer-term stays for Weston McKennie and Federico Gatti.

After the stalemate in talks with Vlahovic, club intent appears set on pressing ahead with new signings as signals to the current squad. Comolli’s visible presence in the United States and a flurry of negotiations underline the urgency, with supporters expecting concrete moves before the new season.
