The biggest fixture of the Serie A weekend turned out to be an unwatchable encounter as Milan and Juventus played out an extremely uneventful draw at San Siro. With Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik both ruled out due to injuries, Teun Koopmeiners acted as a false 9, but it was hardly an inspiring choice on Thiago Motta’s part. The former Monza man had to wait until the very last play of the match to make his presence somewhat felt, picking up Theo Hernandez’s tame header with a routine save.

Nicolò Savona – 6.5

The Juventus youngster was non-existent in the attacking third, but his main task was to limit Rafael Leao’s threat, so he can be pleased with his solid display.

Pierre Kalulu – 6.5

Aside from giving away a freekick in a dangerous position for a needless foul on Alvaro Morata, the Frenchman showcased his worth against his parent club.

Federico Gatti – 7

The Italy international received a dubious yellow card in the first half, but he didn’t seem to hamper his display, as he proved to be a rock at the back.

Unlike Cambiaso, the Italian midfielder started on the right foot, giving Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Co. little space to maneuver. However, his level dropped in the second period as he began to waste possession. He encountered trouble following Christian Pulisic’s entry.

The Frenchman tried his best to raise the tempo for Juventus and push forward, but was impeded by the elements surrounding him.

Francisco Conceicao – 5.5

Aside from a few flicks and tricks, the Portuguese couldn’t quite leave his mark on the encounter. Found life difficult against Theo Hernandez.

The American ran hard, but his first touch often let him down, especially when trying to set up combinations with his teammates.

The Turkish teenager seemed to be the one Juventus player who could pull a rabbit out of the hat, but his positive display on the left wing wasn’t enough to prevent what seemed to be an inevitable stalemate.

Teun Koopmeiners – 4.5

A poor performance from the Dutchman who gave away possession with a poor first touch on several occasions. His unconventional position certainly didn’t help his case, but Juventus fans have been expecting much more from their top summer signing.
