Manchester United may miss out on the chance to cash in on Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus as a deal for West Ham United’s Niclas Fullkrug is becoming more appealing to the Italian club.

The Red Devils are in desperate need to improve their attacking options as they lie 13th in the Premier League table.

United have struggled to score goals all season and cannot rely on Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee to regularly find the back of the net.

This means that Ruben Amorim’s side have been linked to numerous attacking options such as Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres, Randal Kolo Muani and Dusan Vlahovic.

To complete any deal they will likely need to sell or loan certain players and one such option is Joshua Zirkzee, who Juventus have recently shown interest in.

However, Calciomercato report that perhaps there is another Premier League striker who might be a more attractive option for the Old Lady to pursue.

The Italian’s were linked to Niclas Fullkrug in the summer before he completed his move to West Ham and they have turned their attention once again to the German international.

“The German had arrived in London for 27 million euros but competition and injuries soon transformed his first adventure in the Premier League into an ordeal.”

What’s more, “Juve is following Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain and Zirkzee from Manchester United but, unlike the first two, Fullkrug could move on loan or with “only” a right of redemption.”

This is a formula that appeals to Juventus as it gives them more financial flexibility than other deals, as United would likely insist that any loan deal for Zirkzee has an obligation to buy attached.

It is suggested by the Italian outlet that he is looking for a “jump in quality” that Juve would provide and that he “wouldn’t say no” to a move to Serie A.

United will be paying close attention to any such deal as their own attacking signings will likely be determined by who they can sell or loan themselves this winter and would likely be betting on Juventus following through on their interest in Zirkzee.
