Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Milan Skriniar (29) is being pushed towards the exit by PSG, according to a report this Friday from Le Parisien. The 29-year-old has been left out of Luis Enrique’s matchday squad for tonight’s Ligue 1 game between Les Parisiens and Montpellier HSC at the Parc des Princes. The Slovakia national team captain was an unused substitute for PSG’s season-opening 4-1 away win at Le Havre with Luis Enrique relying on Lucas Beraldo and newly-signed centre-back Willian Pacho at the heart of Les Parisiens’ defense.

The Spaniard reportedly does not rely on Skriniar anymore, despite PSG still missing Lucas Hernandez and Presnel Kimpembe through injuries. However, the Slovakia international remains tied to a long-term €1m per month contract with PSG set to expire in 2028. Skriniar put pen to paper over a five-year deal upon the expiry of his contract with Serie A giants Inter Milan last summer.

Skriniar’s debut season in the French capital was marred by inconsistent performances and a serious ankle injury. Le Parisien understands that PSG put pressure on the 29-year-old to leave for pastures new. The outlet adds that Juventus and Bayern Munich are monitoring Skriniar’s situation.
