Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah argued on the touchline as Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw with West Ham United in the Premier League.

Liverpool's season took another bizarre turn on Saturday as Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp argued publicly on the touchline. They're scenes no one saw coming - true club legends at odds in front of the world.

Salah had started this one on the bench, presumably from a mix of poor form and the short turnaround after the derby. Klopp brought him on halfway through the second period - and after West Ham found their equaliser.

But just as Salah was stepping on, Klopp can be seen saying something to him. The Egyptian reacted badly, shouting and gesturing at his manager as Darwin Nunez attempted to calm him down.

It's the last kind of thing you'd expect from this group - one that has thrived on their professionalism over the years. But here, right at the end of Klopp's reign, they're at odds.

And that's something that will naturally create all sorts of talk away from the club.

Klopp did address the moment after the game, saying they'd discussed it and it was done in his eyes.

"No. We spoke already in the dressing room and for me it's done," he told TNT Sports.

We say it's the end of Klopp's reign but it could also be the end of Salah's as Liverpool's star forward. He will have one year remaining on his contract after this season and it's an obvious time for him to call time.

After all, Klopp is off and a new era is starting. Does Salah have the time to fit in again and play a fundamental role under the next manager?

But these scenes don't just draw up questions about the future. They also make you wonder about the current Liverpool and whether disharmony - for whatever reason - has led to this poor run of form.

Of course, it could well be the other way around. Salah's form has been poor of late and no one could blame him for his frustration. People can absolutely blame him for publicly showing that frustration with Jurgen Klopp, however.

Questions will be asked, then. Ones that could have implications on Liverpool's future.
