Jürgen Klopp will return to Borussia Dortmund | OneFootball

Since departing Liverpool at the end of last season, there has been considerable speculation regarding the future of Jürgen Klopp.

Having been vaguely linked with a number of potential vacancies over the summer, it was the US men’s national team that showed the most interest in luring Klopp away from his sabbatical.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz head coach declined the role and has since shown no signs of returning to professional football.

Despite this, during the previous international break, Klopp did make a return to the Westfalenstadion to manage Dortmund in game celebrating the careers of Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski.

Nevertheless, speaking to Sky Germany, BvB’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl has since stated that he believes that the next time Klopp makes a return to Dortmund, it will not be a brief rekindling.

“I think he will come back. I don’t know in what role, but I think he will appear again at some point.”

The 57-year-old managed Die Schwzrgelben between 2008 and 2015, registering 319 games in charge of the club, winning two German championships and a DFB-Pokal.

With Nuri Şahin currently impressing in the Dortmund hot seat, as of yet, it is unclear as to the role Klopp would return to Dortmund in, but should it happen, it will undoubtedly be an emotional moment for all involved.
