Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has taken to social media, to send a message of support the way of teammate Vinícius Jr.
This, of course, comes after the Brazilian was overlooked for the Ballon d’Or.
Considered the long-term frontrunner to be crowned world football’s best for 2024, Vinícius was in the end forced to make do with a place as runner-up.
This came as the Ballon d’Or went the way of Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
In the days since Vinícius’ snub, messages of encouragement have come pouring in for the 24-year-old, from across the football landscape.
One high-profile player who had remained notably silent, though, was the aforementioned Jude Bellingham.
Midfielder Bellingham for his part finished 3rd in the Ballon d’Or voting, but sat out Monday’s gala at the request of the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu.
On Wednesday, the England international, at last, has in turn moved to show his support for Vinícius.
After the explosive winger took to Instagram to unveil a photo of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad accompanied by the caption ‘together’, Bellingham replied, writing:
‘Always’
