Paris Saint-Germain currently have Achraf Hakimi at right-back, and reports suggest the Moroccan international is close to extending his contract. However, in football, nothing is certain until everything is signed.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that PSG and Hakimi are working out the final details, with the contract’s length and salary nearly agreed upon.
Still, could PSG be considering additional options at right-back? According to a recent report from Fichajes, the club is reportedly interested in a potential signing from Real Madrid and has its eye on Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract runs until 2025.
Alexander-Arnold is attracting interest from several top European clubs, and both PSG and Real Madrid are said to be advancing talks for the talented English star.

On Tuesday, Richard Jolly, The Independent’s chief football reporter, shared his ranking of Liverpool’s out-of-contract stars—Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mo Salah—based on their chances of staying.
Jolly noted (h/t TEAMTalk), “Van Dijk feels the likeliest to stay, Alexander-Arnold probably the likeliest to go, with Salah somewhere between them.”
Whether it’s PSG or Real Madrid, any club interested in the player received a warning about his form. On a Sky Sports pundit panel, Theo Walcott shared that he doesn’t see the Englishman as a top-level defender yet, suggesting that if Alexander-Arnold wants to win the Ballon d’Or, he still has progress to make.
“He’s not at that level because defensively, like I said at the start of the game, is where I will feel he will be tested,” Walcott said.
“[Gabriel] Martinelli, we’re not saying Martinelli is a Vinicius Jr. Martinelli is a very good player, but he caused problems and that’s why [we are] talking about [Ibrahima] Konaté coming over to help Trent. I think if you’re Ballon d’Or, you don’t need help.”
