Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in Kim Min-jae and he could leave Bayern this summer if they receive a suitable offer according to reports.
The Blues are set to have another busy window, and it’s said they could look to sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their moves in the market.
Chelsea face arguably their most important window under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership, with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker.
Whilst a striker is seemingly the priority the Blues also need a centre back to lead the backline and have been heavily linked with the likes of Marc Guehi and Dean Huijsen.
However, it appears there’s another name on their radar with the Blues interested in Bayern star Kim, with Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg providing an update on the situation.

He took to X.com and said:
“#Kim Min-jae could leave FC Bayern this summer if a suitable offer arrives, as revealed. He is aware of the situation but remains fully focused on the title race.
“Several clubs have already expressed interest – been told Juventus are keeping an eye on Kim’s situation. Chelsea and Newcastle are also interested, as per @Santi_J_FM and confirmed. #CFC.”
Kim is 28 years old, with Chelsea not tending to go for players of his age under their current recruitment model, but reports have suggested the’ve already contacted the South Korean’s management.
The South Korea international is hugely experienced and has 69 caps for his country, whilst he’s won Serie A with Napoli and is on course to win the Bundesliga title this season.

Kim has made 42 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season and is under contract with the German giants until 2028, having joined from Napoli for €50m in 2023.
The defender is certainly the calibre of player who would come in and lead Chelsea’s backline, but it’s unclear how much Bayern would want, and he does unfortunately seem to have a few mistakes in him.
