Chelsea legend John Terry has picked out a current tactical flaw in the team and says they’re two years off challenging for the title.
The big news comes after Chelsea finally secured their qualification to play Champions League football next season on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.
The Blues had to win this game to secure it, and they managed a 1-0 away win against Nottingham Forest to provide scenes of celebrations amongst the Blues players and staff yesterday evening. And in by doing this, Chelsea also set a brand new record in football!
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca was so pleased with making the Champions League that he took the opportunity to swear at all of his critics across the season by telling them all to F off!!
I think most would agree that Chelsea have a lot more work to do if they want to seriously challenge on all levels again and make a real go of it in the Champions League.
It could literally depend on what business they do this summer, but it also rests on the current squad maturing even more over the next year or so.

The former captain, leader, and legend of the club John Terry has been speaking on Chelsea this week.
He says:
“I think we’re a couple of years off [challenging for the title]. I really do. I don’t want that to be headline stuff but I look at Man City, Liverpool – they’re stronger. Arsenal have been consistent.
“Now we invite press too often, other teams do it. Man City have a lot to answer for, they’re the best at it but other teams try to do it and they can’t. The fans are frustrated with that over time.
“We’ve managed to secure fourth, good experience from the boys. Making signings and attracting players is big next year.”
