Joao Mario: I'm settling in well and ready to test myself  | OneFootball

One of the newest additions to the Juventus Men’s First Team, Joao Mario, has officially been presented as a Bianconeri player. He was introduced to the media from the Adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

Here’s what he had to say…

FIRST FEELINGS

“I was delighted when Juventus got in touch. It’s a huge club with a rich history, so of course hearing of interest from a club like this made me happy. The first few days have gone well, I’ve been made to feel welcome here by all my teammates, coach [Igor] Tudor and all the staff. I’m settling in well, thanks partly to my Portuguese teammates who are all helping me understand how things work here. There’s a lot of quality in this team, and I’m happy to play with players of this level, which will also allow me to test myself.”

EARLY TRAINING SESSIONS

“The sessions have been intense, and there’s been a lot of physical work with it being pre-season. Day after day we’re getting increasingly ready, and my first impressions have all been positive. We’ve got really strong players, even physically, and these intense days are necessary to prepare for a long season.”
