For Leicester fans, if given the choice, there are any number of players who should be shipped out from the East Midlands side. Not everyone can leave. If there was an option where that option was available, outside of Mads Hermanson and Jamie Vardy, most of this current season's starters would be on a bus away from City.

Starting with Jannik Vestergaard, the defender has had his share of unfavorable headlines. A lot has been made of the Danish international living in London. Then the relationship with Ruud van Nistelrooy has also hit a number of what the public views as troubling moments.

Granted, those involved are downplaying everything and say that there haven't been any issues or reasons for concern. Still, between the overall backline performances and supporters bemoaning the lack of members on the pitch playing for the badge as is, it appears that his time will be up with LCFC.

He at least received some significant run time, even if RvN notably excluded him throughout the season. The same can't be said of Caleb Okoli. Coming from Atalanta, many were hoping to get a good look at the Italian during significant minutes. At only 23 years old, the CB is someone who a lot of clubs would have given more time on the pitch by now, particularly in a lost season.

He still has a lot of years left on his current contract. Considering how City will need to make up for their relegated status, and given how promising of a talent Okoli is, it shouldn't be at all surprising if the club accepts an offer from a side that is eager to bring him into the fold for them as a long-term investment in their defense.

Possible Leicester defender who sticks around

Speaking of a defender, there's also Conor Coady. He hadn't played too much until recently. Since RvN switched and stayed with a five-back system, the 32-year-old has seen increased run time on the field as a member of the starting XI. Despite the wishes of many Leicester fans, not everyone will trade in their jerseys for next season, and looking at how the Foxes have a renewed faith in Coady, he could be someone who ends up sticking around.

Either way, this isn't at all an ideal situation that City now find themselves in. A lot can happen. The potential of buyers not warming up to some of the players currently on the roster could only further complicate matters. For now, reading every potential transfer rumor is likely to at least have an element of truth behind it.
