Jamal Musiala’s future at Bayern Munich has been a key talking point for the last few weeks. The 21-year-old is nearing an extension beyond 2026 with the Rekordmeister, but fans can expect to know more about the player’s situation during the winter break.
Speaking exclusively to RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland, Musiala said: “At the moment I’m concentrating on the games with the national team and Bayern. I know that a lot of eyes are on my situation, but I’m trying to put as little pressure on myself as possible. It’s important for me to stay fit and perform until I have a bit of time to calm down. Then I can take time to think about everything. I think we’ll know more during the winter break.”
As reported on Thursday, Musiala is likely to sign a contract extension at Bayern Munich, which could run until June 2030. A new deal would also see the German’s salary rise from a single-digit million figure to one that would be in a similar bracket to Harry Kane’s, which is reportedly around €22m, more than Joshua Kimmich.
Musiala has scored five and created two in eight games as Vincent Kompany’s side top the Bundesliga, five points clear of RB Leipzig.
