Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho helped his Chelsea side to another win as they closed within two points of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

The Englishman was highly impressive last time out against Tottenham Hotspur as he scored a wonderful goal and once again played a big role in his side’s latest victory.

He played the entire game on the left hand side of the pitch and should have had an assist to his name.

In the second half, Sancho showed great acceleration down the right hand side to beat his man for pace and lay the ball perfectly off for Nicolas Jackson, who could only fire the ball over with the goal gaping.

Sofascore gave the winger a 7.4 for his night’s work.

He had 69 touches of the ball and took care of possession, completing 87% of his passes.

Sancho was also a constant danger as he provided four key passes during the match as Chelsea looked to unlock Brentford’s defence time and time again.

He created one big chance for Jackson and completed his one long ball attempt.

The England international also had one shot that was off target.

He attempted five dribbles and was successful in two of them as he tried to put pressure on the Brentford right wingback, Mads Roerslev.

The 24 year old also won three out of his seven ground duel attempts and did not compete in any aerial battles.

Sancho has continued his impressive rise under Enzo Maresca as Chelsea unexpectedly find themselves as Liverpool’s main challengers for the title.

He’s been involved in the last six games for the Blues and will next be in action when the Londoners welcome Irish side Shamrock Rovers to Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

With both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho missing from the United squad yesterday, fans will be wondering how useful Sancho could have been for United had he still been around when Ruben Amorim arrived.
