The defender has made the switch from the CBS Arena after two years in the Championship.

It was reported by Tipsbladet that the 23-year-old has agreed a €3 (£2.5) million deal to move to the Superliga side.

Binks made 40 appearances in the Championship across two seasons with the club, contributing two assists, with the team finishing ninth and fifth in the table.

Binks has confirmed the move to Brondby on social media, stating clearly how happy he is with the change in clubs.

The centre-back is looking forward to getting started with his new side, with the Danish team looking to retain their Superliga crown in 2026.

“Absolutely buzzing to be joining this historic club,” wrote Binks, via his Instagram account.

“Can’t wait to play in front of the Sydsiden, see you soon.”

“Good luck bro,” replied Rudoni.

Van Ewijk also offered his reply, with his former backline partner also wishing him luck for the future.

“Goodluck bro,” wrote Van Ewijk.

Coventry’s Championship fixtures

Coventry will start the new Championship season on 9 August with a clash at home against Hull City.

Lampard’s side will then face Derby County, QPR and Oxford United prior to the September international break.

The Sky Blues will be aiming for a strong start to the new campaign, which has been an issue for the club in recent years.

Coventry’s target will also be to improve on their fifth place finish in the table last season, which led to their play-off semi-final disappointment against Sunderland in May.

Binks’ departure leaves Coventry a little light at the back

Binks wasn’t able to really cement himself as a key figure in the Coventry side during his two years with the club.

But he still provided solid cover in Lampard’s side, and his departure now leaves them a little light in that area of the pitch.

With £2.5 million coming in, the Sky Blues may now dip into the market to find a replacement that can add competition for minutes at centre-back.

Coventry have until 1 September to complete any remaining business, and it would be surprising if they didn’t look to the market to make at least one or two more additions.
