Manchester City are preparing to welcome one of the Ivory Coast’s rising talents for a period of training at the City Football Academy, according to reports.

The Premier League champions have been working on a number of high-profile youth arrivals into the club this month as they begin work on the next generation of their squad to be perfected under Pep Guardiola in the next two years of his contract.

Much of those attentions have centred around defence, and Manchester City unveiled both Uzbekistan international Abdukodir Khusanov and Brazilian starlet Vitor Reis as new arrivals into the club and the central defensive position earlier this week.

Work on the role is expected to continue and the belief in various quarters, including from within the player’s camp, is that Manchester City will finalise an agreement for Sierra Leone’s 18-year-old centre-back rising star, Juma Bah with a loan to RC Lens being discussed.

But a staggering opportunity is now being handed to another rising name in African football, with a period of training and the chance to impress City coaches in Manchester being granted to a relatively unknown name.

That is according to the information of transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, who reveals that Abidjan City’s 18-year-old talent, Yvan Sebai Senin will soon start training at Manchester City for a period of one week.

While it is highlighted that there are ‘several’ clubs interested in the player from around Europe, including from both France and Germany, it is now Manchester City who are prepared to welcome him to the club for a showcase of his talent.

Manchester City are no strangers to this approach to young players and issuing opportunities to visit the club ahead of a decision on whether to bring them into the roster, having recently gone through a similar process with New York City FC’s Christian McFarlane.

The left-back talent is believed to have made a visit to the club earlier in his career as a 15-year-old, and now on the verge of turning 18-years-old, he is understood to be closing in on a switch to Manchester City.

There are likely to be several more arrivals into the club this month, some more notable than others, in a clear sign of intent from both the existing Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain and his pending successor, Hugo Viana.
