Ivan Juric commented on Roma’s 1-1 draw with Athletic Club in his post-match interview with Sky Sport.
“In the first half we played great football and the fans felt it,” said the Croatian technician.
“In the second half you could see that Athletic are used to this type of football because they didn’t even allow you to press.”
“We didn’t concede any chances, apart from some scrums. In the first half there were situations created well where we could have scored and we had to be more clinical and mean. We also paid for Soulè’s missed goal.”
“We did well, maybe a little slow in the first ten minutes. A little lack of confidence, then we loosened up. We played football and we put them under pressure.”
“We should have scored more goals, they didn’t get past the midfield. I’m sorry, but there are many positive things. I’m sorry about the result. We have to maintain this right attitude. The boys understood, interpreted and did well.”
“It’s a shame we conceded near the end, it was in the little details,” he added.
“Dybala? He felt a little discomfort. Now let’s see. We didn’t want to take a risk. Is it worrying? Let’s see tomorrow, now there’s no point in talking about it.”
