Davide Frattesi has not started for Inter Milan in the Champions League knockout rounds this season.

However, that certainly does not mean that the 25-year-old has not had a big impact.

On the contrary, Frattesi has been decisive for Inter.

The former Sassuolo midfielder scored key goals against both Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Tuttosport draw a parallel between Davide Frattesi and Italy left-back Fabio Grosso during the 2006 World Cup.

Throughout the knockout rounds of that tournament, Grosso was the player who ended up being Italy’s decisive man.

The former Inter, Lyon, and Juventus won a penalty against Australia in the round of sixteen. Then he scored the winner against Germany in the semifinals.

And in the final, it was Grosso who scored the decisive penalty for Italy against France.

Therefore, Tuttosport note, Inter will perhaps be superstitiously hoping that Frattesi can pull off something similar against PSG tomorrow.
