FLW's Cardiff City fan pundit has admitted a bitter feeling towards Gareth Bale's supposed takeover of Plymouth Argyle

Former Real Madrid and Wales star Gareth Bale is believed to be fronting a US takeover of Plymouth Argyle.
According to the Telegraph, the 35-year-old is following former teammate Luka Modrić’s example of getting involved in an EFL club.
Bale was born and raised in Cardiff and has admitted to supporting the Bluebirds in the past.
The Welsh side will compete in League One next season, alongside Plymouth, which could lead to some frustration from the Cardiff fanbase regarding Bale’s involvement in Argyle.
Football League World’s Cardiff City fan pundit, Matt Hall, admits that there is an element of disappointment surrounding the former Wales captain’s rumoured takeover of the Pilgrims.
“There is a little bit of bitterness that Gareth Bale is fronting up a consortium for a League One rival,” stated Matt. “I think it does sour things with him.
“He doesn't owe us anything, I think we're all aware of that, but he did sort of tease us for months about signing and then ended up just going all the way to LAFC.
“He’s fronting up a consortium for a promotion rival and that obviously leaves a sour taste in our mouths. However, in his defence, it is unknown whether Vincent Tan is open to selling.
“Are the consortium looking to just invest? We don't know that side of things at the moment. If Plymouth and Cardiff were asking for the same amount of money for a sale, would this scenario be happening?
“Potentially not, but I'm not going to be too bitter about it until we know further details.”
The past few months have been a rough period time for Cardiff City. Suffering relegation to League One, failing in their bid to pry Nathan Jones from Charlton’s hands and now Bale’s involvement in Plymouth Argyle.
If the former Real Madrid star had decided to try and get involved with the Bluebirds, it would have injected some much-needed enthusiasm into the club.
Instead, the Cardiff faithful have to watch on as their League One rivals get to enjoy that excitement, whilst they continue under Vincent Tan’s rule.
As Matt mentioned, it isn’t known whether Tan would be open to external investment in the club, which would mean that the Bluebirds’ supporters could somewhat sympathise with Bale’s decision.
That said, it won’t make watching the former Wales captain’s takeover of Plymouth Argyle any easier.
