Ipswich are looking at new attacking options to lead the line next season.

Mubama is among the names on their shortlist. The 20-year-old forward has caught the eye after a solid season with their under-21 side.

He scored 11 goals for City’s U21 team this season and made his senior debut in the FA Cup third round against Salford City.

Mubama is attracting interest from Ipswich and other clubs across Europe

City value Mubama at around £10 million. Ipswich have contacted them to learn about the conditions of a potential deal.

They have made an early enquiry about what a permanent or loan move could look like. No formal offer has been made at this stage.

Ligue 1 side Lille are reportedly tracking Mubama’s development and have shown interest in signing him.

He is a strong and athletic number nine. Mubama displays sharp movement inside the box and is adept at finding space against defenders.

The forward is good in the air, has a strong leap and gets into good positions. He also offers flexibility by playing wide or in a deeper role.

Ipswich see him as someone who could bring added energy and goal threat.

The deal remains in the early stages, but Mubama is now firmly on Ipswich Town’s radar as a potential summer signing.
