Ipswich’s Premier League return has yet to produce any wins but a familiar name continues to keep them in the hunt.

Liam Delap opened the scoring in Sunday’s encounter with Aston Villa to rack up successive goals at Portman Road.

Then he went a step further against Villa.

Delap extended his prolific run for the Tractor Boys with a superb strike to pull Kieran McKenna’s side level later in the second half.

This means that he is also the first Ipswich player to score a brace in the Premier League in 22 years. The last to do so was Marcus Bent against Newcastle in March 2002.
