Simone Inzaghi is still mulling over two major doubts for the Inter Milan starting eleven to face Lazio tomorrow.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that Alessandro Bastoni and Carlos Augusto, and Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic, are vying to start.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will have to balance naming a strong starting eleven with accounting for injuries and fatigue in his squad.

Therefore, reports the Corriere, several regular starters will return to the team.

Among these will be Nicolo Barella, Marcus Thuram, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Federico Dimarco.

However, reports the Corriere, there are a couple areas of the pitch where Inzaghi hasn’t yet made up his mind.

According to the Corriere, there is still an open question as far as who starts on the left of Inter’s back three.

On the one hand, it could be Alessandro Bastoni.

However, Bastoni is one of the few regular starters who started against both Barcelona and Torino in Inter’s last two matches.

Therefore, Inzaghi could decide to give the Italian international a rest.

In that case, it would be Carlos Augusto who would start in defense.

Meanwhile, there is also a doubt for Inzaghi regarding who will start in attack with captain Lautaro Martinez injured.

Marcus Thuram will certainly start. But then there would be two candidates to start alongside the Frenchman.

Iranian international Mehdi Taremi would certainly be one possibility. The 32-year-old started against Torino last weekend.

However, reports the Corriere, Marko Arnautovic is also vying to start.
