Inter have jumped to the top of The Opta Power Rankings, ending Manchester City’s 600-day reign, but Simone Inzaghi warns the Nerazzurri about a ‘longer’ journey this year.
Defending Serie A champions Inter overtook Manchester City as the most in-form team in the world in the Opta Power Rankings.
“I saw the stat, and I was pleased,” Inzaghi said at a press conference on Monday (via FcInter1908).
“We must continue to satisfy the fans and the club.”

Inter have nine wins in the last 11 games across all competitions, including a 5-0 victory against Hellas Verona in Serie A this past weekend.
The Nerazzurri are just one point below league leaders Napoli.
“We are still there, like all the other teams running with us,” continued Inzaghi.
“It will be a long journey, even longer this year. The teams up there have brought reinforcements and invested a lot in the market, so everyone wants to finish as high as possible.”
During his press conference, Inzaghi said Davide Frattesi could miss Tuesday’s match against RB Leipzig in the Champions League due to a minor ankle injury.
The Nerazzurri are still unbeaten in Europe’s elite competition this term with 10 points in four matches, while tomorrow’s rivals have lost four games from four.
Inter’s next Serie A match is against Fiorentina at the Stadio Franchi in Florence on December 1.
