A report in the Spanish press claims Inter Milan are willing to splash the cash to lure Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa before the end of the summer.

The 26-year-old’s future has been one of the biggest soap operas of the summer.

The Italy international found himself unwanted upon his return to Turin. New Juventus coach Thiago Motta deems him ill-suited to his style of football, while the management is desperate to offload him before he leaves the club for free a year later.

News reports have been linking the winger with a host of potential suitors. This even includes Juve’s fiercest rivals, Inter Milan.

Several reports in the Italian media revealed the Nerazzurri will be looking to sign Chiesa for free next summer.

Others believe the Italian champions could even make their move this month, pouncing on the Old Lady’s desperation through a low-ball offer.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport (via FcInterNews), the Nerazzurri are even willing to sway Chiesa through “astronomical” wages.

Nevertheless, the source claims Juventus would prefer to sell the player abroad rather than enhance a direct rival.

The player reportedly received offers from Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United as well.

However, Barcelona have now emerged on the scene, as they look to lure the winger to Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants are reportedly willing to offer 15 million euros to snatch the player’s services.

The source describes Chiesa as a popular target among the Blaugrana’s directors. But in order to seal the deal, Barca will first have to offload some of the deadwood. This is a necessary move to make room for the Italian’s arrival.

The La Liga outfit has been struggling to adhere to the Spanish FA’s Financial Fair Play rules over the past few years, putting their transfer dealings under increased scrutiny.
