He started his career in Ottawa before making the move to Europe in 2018 through the gates of KAA Gent.

Following a two-year spell in Belgium, he signed for Lille in 2020.

This season, David has already netted three goals and provided two assists in seven appearances between Ligue 1 and the Champions League qualifiers.

However, this will likely be his last campaign a the French club since he’s currently running on an expiring contract.

The Canada international appears set to see out his deal with Lille before moving to a more prestigious club.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on David, and they’re already plotting a free transfer for next summer.

Inter consider the Canada international as the ideal replacement for Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian remained at Appiano Gentile as a fourth-choice attacker in Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order.

However, the former West Ham United star’s contract will expire at the end of the season. And at the age of 35, he’s unlikely to earn a contract extension.
