Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all targeting teenage Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis.
This according to Goal.com, via FCInterNews. They report that the Brazilian club have no intention of selling Reis in the immediate future, however.
Young defender Reis looks to be the latest player off the production line of talent at Palmeiras.
During the summer, there were a couple of notable names to move from the Brazilian club to Europe.
Teenage winger Luis Guilherme joined Premier League side West Ham United.
And then, striker Endrick joined Real Madrid in a move that had a great deal of anticipation behind it.
But that certainly has not been the end of the development of young players at Palmeiras.
And the player who currently looks to be most sought-after at the club plays in defense.
18-year-old defender Vitor Reis has only just broken into the Palmeiras first team this year.
The teenage defender has been at the club for the better part of a decade. He has come through the youth academy system.
However, 2024 has marked Reis’s entry into the first team picture.
And the young defender has not taken long to adjust to senior football.
In his first season with the senior Palmeiras team, Reis has established himself as a key part of the backline.
Reis has also scored his first goal in senior football with Palmeiras.
Not surprisingly, the teenager’s form has attracted plenty of interest from Europe.
According to Goal.com, Inter are among the teams who have shown an interest in signing Reis.
This would be in keeping the the mandate from Nerazzurri owners Oaktree Capital to focus around youth as the club aim to rebuild their defense.
However, Inter are far from the only ones.
According to Goal.com, Real Madrid are the team with the strongest interest in Reis. They’ve been in contact with Palmeiras, exploring the viability of a deal for the 18-year-old.
And then both Chelsea and Arsenal are keen to bring Reis to the Premier League and to London.
However, Goal.com report, Palmeiras do not want to sell Reis right away.
The Brazilian club hope to keep hold of the young defender for a couple more years. They believe that he can continue to grow, and increase in value as he contributes to their own cause.
