Inter Milan have reportedly found themselves a possible new commercial partner, as they’re currently negotiating a deal with Gate.io.

After securing an agreement with Betsson Group who became the club’s new main shirt sponsor, the Nerazzurri still need a new sleeve sponsor, as their contract with eBay expired at the end of last season.

But according to FcInterNews, the Italian champions may have found their match in the shape of Gate.io.

As the source reveals, Inter are in talks with the cryptocurrency company that could well become their new sleeve sponsor.

This agreement would earn the Serie A club a sum of 6 million euros for next season.

However, the report reveals that the Nerazzurri have asked the company to pay a large percentage in advance.

This is mainly because the Beneamata had a torrid experience the last time they dealt with a cryptocurrency company.

This is a reference to DigitalBits which was the club’s main shirt sponsor until Inter decided to rescind their agreement in the final stages of the 2022/23 season due to lack of payments. The club then struck a deal with Paramount+ as a direct replacement.

The two parties are still embroiled in a legal battle, with Inter requesting the missed payments in addition to recompensation for the damages suffered.

Hence, the Serie A giants would prefer to receive important guarantees before tying the knot with another cryptocurrency group.

Thus, we shall see whether or not Gate.io would be willing to please the Italian champions in this regard.
