Inter Milan are targeting Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci as a replcaement in the event that Davide Frattesi joins Roma.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908.
It is now very clear that midfielder Davide Frattesi will stay at Inter this month.
For almost the entire January transfer window, rumours have swirled about the Italian international’s future.
Reportedly, Frattesi has grown unhappy with his playing time. Therefore, he has decided that he wants a move away.
And Roma have pushed to sign Frattesi this month.
However, Inter have roundly rejected the idea of letting Frattesi leave. The 25-year-old will remain until the end of the season at least.
That certainly does not mean that Frattesi won’t leave in the summer, however.
The former Sassuolo midfielder is still not a first-choice starter for Inter. Therefore, he could push for an exit at the end of the season.

And for their part, Roma are likely to make another attempt to sign Frattesi.
In the event that Frattesi does leave, Inter will naturally seek a replacement.
And according to Tuttosport, the first-choice target would be Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci.
Signing Ricci would not be easy. Inter will have to see off the competition of city rivals AC Milan.
However, the Nerazzurri see the 23-year-old as the ideal player to replace Frattesi.
