Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi is still not back in full training as he continues to recover from a nagging thigh injury.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They also report that Benjamin Pavard and Raffaele Di Gennaro are continuing to work on therapies for their own respective injuries.
Inter defender Acerbi has now been out for almost three weeks.
The 36-year-old picked up a thigh strain during Inter’s Serie A match against Hellas Verona last month.
And while early predictions were that the Italian international would be able to return to the pitch after a week or two, that has not come to pass.
Acerbi has now missed four matches between Serie A and the Champions League. And he will miss at least one more, with Inter facing his former team Lazio next Monday.
According to FCIN, Acerbi was not part of today’s full training session.
Rather, the former Lazio and Sassuolo defender continued to work on his own personalized training program.
Acerbi is still working to shake off the thigh strain. This is his second thigh injury in the space of a couple months, and is once again causing him to miss several weeks of action.
Meanwhile, FCIN report, Benjamin Pavard and Raffaele Di Gennaro underwent physical therapy today.
Pavard is currently out with a thigh strain of his own. Meanwhile, Di Gennaro underwent hand surgery.
Neither of the pair is yet to return to working on the pitch yet.
