Ange-Yoan Bonny completed his €25 million transfer from Parma to Inter at the beginning of the summer.

Furthermore, he scored on his Serie A debut for the Nerazzurri, contributing to a 5-0 scoreline against Torino.

Despite being forced to play second fiddle to Marcus Thuram, Bonny remains determined to seize every opportunity.

Indeed, the talented Frenchman is a star in the making, with Cristian Chivu keen to hand him a prominent role at Giuseppe Meazza.

Chivu and Bonny worked together at Ennio Tardini as the Romanian boss built his tactics around the young gun.

Therefore, the new Nerazzurri manager knows what to expect from Bonny.

However, the player is eager to exceed expectations and become one of the best in Europe, let alone Serie A.

Pictured in the Inter jersey as a kid, Bonny is a life-long Nerazzurri fan.

“My mother gave it to me when I was 6 or 7,” he claimed. “Playing here today feels like fulfilling a childhood dream – a nice full circle.

“When I was little, as now, Inter is among the top 3-4 clubs in the world.

“My mom is African and loved Eto’o; she passed on her passion for him to me.

“I did eight months of judo before playing football because my mom thought it would calm me down.

“I was a hyperactive kid. In the end, all paths led me to football.”

Then, Bonny explained his relationship with Chivu and recalled his time at Parma.

“A back-heel goal, a beautiful one,” he said, referring to his strike against Como last season.

“Parma was my first experience in Italy and where I started playing professionally. I learned everything there – the language, how football is played in Italy, and even the local dialect.

“It’s a city close to my heart. When I arrived, I played deeper, but Pecchia and Chivu trusted me in attack.

“My Serie B journey helped me grow, and I’m still developing.

“The coach is a good person who trusted me from start to finish.

“He played at a high level and helps me a lot, thanks to his experience, even off the pitch.

“He taught me that the opponent’s level doesn’t matter: you must always play your game and give your best.

“The best thing about him is that he knows how to motivate his players.”

Finally, he revealed his personal goals.

“Everything is still to come. I want to win as many titles as possible with the team.

“Personally, I want to become one of the best players of my generation. The best season is always the next one.”
