Inter and Milan keep all San Siro options open | OneFootball

Inter and Milan are keeping all options open, confirmed the Mayor of the Milano, including purchasing San Siro or building their own arenas outside the city.

The two clubs have for years been working to either get the existing Stadio Giuseppe Meazza reconstructed to meet modern standards or knock it down completely to build a new venue essentially in the current car park.

When the local and national authorities blocked their attempts to change the existing structure, they split off and started projects to create new arenas outside the city.

Milan and Inter working on all San Siro fronts

Mayor of Milano Giuseppe Sala confirmed today that he received a letter from the clubs warning they are also looking into purchasing the land around San Siro, including the stadium.

It is by no means the only plan, as they at the same time are waiting for the local councils in San Donato and Rozzano to work out potential issues with their individual stadium projects.

WeBuild have put together a plan to revamp San Siro while Inter and Milan can continue to play there, only limiting the capacity to an acceptable degree.
