With their second preseason match scheduled against Coventry this Wednesday at the Three Lions training ground (6 p.m.), the Rouge et Blanc are stepping up their schedule.

Preseason is well and truly  underway. As they begin their third day of training in England, the players of Adi Hütter have raised the bar in their preparations. Set to face Coventry City FC on Wednesday afternoon (kickoff 18:00 CET) in their second pre-season friendly match, the Monegasques carried out two high-intensity sessions this Monday.

Competition and commitment 🥵

While they focused more on holding the ball in small spaces on a reduced pitch during the first morning session, Maghnes Akliouche’s teammates then played several matches against three teams of eight in the afternoon to focus on projection and finishing. This was an opportunity for the attacking midfielder, trained at the Academy, to transform into MVP mode with the red team!

Work, work, work! 🏋️‍♂️

All of this, in a competitive spirit of course, but with a smile, and a dose of physical work  to prepare the players’ bodies for competition. And if until then the English skies had been kind to them, the driving rain and wind finally made their appearance at St. George’s Park this Tuesday morning. Conditions “made in England”, which did not prevent the group from working on the passing circuits and the recovery patterns on the big pitch.

Coventry in sight 🔜

Like Glasgow Rangers (Scottish Premiership) and Sheffield Wednesday (Championship) before them, and before Fiorentina took over as Three Lions’ national team HQ, the AS Monaco players are now getting into the thick of their preseason

It’s thus a pre-season which now sees them face Coventry this Wednesday (6 p.m.) at a ground dedicated to one of the greatest legends of English football, Sir Bobby Charlton.. Let’s keep going! 💪
