Arsenal have made fresh contact with the camp of Noni Madueke and he could be open to switch to a north London according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have had a busy summer so far and have made three signings in Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro.

Chelsea could still sign another attacker, whilst they are said to also be looking for a centre back to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad for next season.

Arsenal hold further Noni Madueke talks

Despite signing three attackers, the Blues haven’t ruled out the possibility of signing another one, with Chelsea believed to want as many as nine attacking options in their squad next season.

However, it’s likely one of the current crop will have to leave to make space, and as things stand it appears Madueke could be the most likely candidate.

Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix will almost certainly depart, whilst Madueke is attracting interest from rivals Arsenal.

It’s been reported Chelsea could consider offers of more than £45m for Madueke, whilst Arsenal are said to like his profile.

It’s thought Chelsea aren’t actively looking to sell the England international, and Romano has revealed Arsenal have held fresh talks with Madueke’s camp.

“In recent hours, Arsenal have made contacts again with the camp of Noni Madueke,” he told his YouTube channel.

“When people close to the player continue to meet the club, it means that the player could be open to a potential switch to Arsenal. It doesn’t mean Madueke wants to leave Chelsea.”

Mohammed Kudus a target

If Madueke does leave, West forward Mohammed Kudus is a player of interest to the Blues, but they also face competition from Tottenham.

Kudus is expected to leave the Hammers this summer, and it’s thought offers of around £60m would be enough for West Ham to part ways.

The Ghana international arrived from Ajax in the summer of 2023 for £38m, so the Hammers would be in line to make a profit on the attacker.
