Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has “set his heart” on a move to Chelsea according to journalist Matt Law.

The Blues have been busy this summer and have made four signings in Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro.

Chelsea are working on a deal for Dutch international Xavi Simons, and are said to be in advanced negotiations with RB Leipzig.

Alejandro Garnacho wants to join Chelsea

The Blues reportedly want eight or nine attacking options to rotate between in their squad next season, as they prepare to return to Champions League football.

Noni Madueke and Joao Felix have left, with Christopher Nkunku also expected to depart, but the Blues could sign another attacker as well as Simons.

Garnacho has been linked with Chelsea since January, and those links have continued throughout the summer, although an official offer is yet to be made.

Chelsea reportedly don’t want to pay more than £30m for Garnacho, whilst it’s believed the Argentine would welcome an approach from the Blues.

Fabrizio Romano has consistently said to keep an eye on Garnacho and Chelsea, and Law has now provided an update on the situation.

“I’m told Garnacho wants Chelsea, wants to stay in the Premier League, and ideally play in the Champions League like most players do,” he told The London Is Blue Podcast.

“He’s set his heart on Chelsea if possible!”

Chelsea still working on Xavi Simons deal

Whilst a deal for Garnacho could happen towards the end of the window, the Blues are hoping to wrap up a deal for Simons as soon as possible.

Chelsea are in negotiations with Leipzig, who are said to want a total package of £60m for the 22-year-old, although the Blues reportedly want to pay less.

Simons is close to agreeing personal terms, but Chelsea are said to need to offload some players before trying to complete a deal.
