Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka is set to spend more than eight weeks on the sidelines after injuring his knee in the 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday, according to Team News and Ticks on Patreon.
Team News and Ticks – a Gunners account and insider – famous for leaking team news on the internet and followed by the likes of Dharmesh Sheth, David Ornstein, Fabrizio Romano and Gary Jacobs on X (formerly Twitter), have been a trusted source concerning all things Arsenal, and they have revealed the latest update on when Saka is expected back in action.
“Now people are reporting it will be eight weeks,” they posted on Patreon.
“I’m told that is a bare minimum and the likelihood is we won’t see him until March.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta revealed earlier today that the England international is indeed set to spend weeks out of action, and the fans had feared for the worst when he was seen limping with crutches out of Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.
The Gunners will now be without their most important attacker for at least ten weeks, and Arteta will desperately hope others can step up in his absence as being without him is a huge blow.
Gabriel Jesus proved that he still has what it takes to help Arsenal in front of goal during their last two games, notching five goals, and he could not have chosen a better time to pick form.
The likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard would also challenge themselves to improve significantly, while Ethan Nwaneri could also be deployed to play in attack if need be after Arteta insisted he has what it takes to feature in the final third.
