Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on the receiving end of a teasing gift from Inter CEO Beppe Marotta on Thursday as executives from the Nerazzurri, Rossoneri, Juventus and Atalanta met ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia over the coming days.
There was an exchange of gifts during a friendly meeting at the Italian embassy in Saudi Arabia on Thursday ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana matches in Riyadh on Thursday and Friday evenings.
During the festivities, Marotta gifted Ibrahimovic a framed Inter shirt, which includes the Scudetto patch and the two stars above the club crest, symbolising Inter’s 20th Serie A title, which came in 2023-24.

Though currently an advisor to Milan’s ownership group, Ibrahimovic is, of course, also a former Inter player, which is why the incident was seen as a joke rather than an insult.
Both Marotta and Ibra had big smiles on their faces when the gift was exchanged, and both were able to have a laugh about it in front of the cameras.
