Chelsea transfer target Jorrel Hato has described Ajax as “home” in a possible hint he will remain at the Dutch giants this summer.
The Blues will likely be busy again this summer and have already completed the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich for £30m.
More new faces are expected to follow, with Chelsea looking to sign a versatile forward, centre back and left winger to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
There’s set to be a reshuffle defensively at Chelsea this summer, with the likes of Renato Veiga and Axel Disasi expected to leave.
There’s uncertainty surrounding the future of Benoit Badiashile, and Chelsea are said to have five names on their radar.
Hato is one of those names and Chelsea have identified the Ajax star as a target as they search for much needed back-up for Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea are said to have held initial discussions over a move for Hato, whilst Arsenal are also said to be interested.
However, Hato has dropped a hint he could remain at Ajax this summer after he described the Dutch club as home in a recent interview.
“The smartest thing is to look at it pre-season, that’s what I do,” he told Ajax’s website.
“Of course you want to achieve things in the end: the Champions League, a World Cup and a European Championship, I still have plenty of time. I don’t think I absolutely have to win the Champions League in two years.

“In the Dutch league, you have to show how good you are against the big clubs. Ultimately, I have to continue to develop the things I am already good at, so that it becomes top.
“How do I describe my time at Ajax? Ajax is home for me. I just feel at home here.”
Cucurella is the only left back in the squad currently so signing back-up for the Spain international is vital this summer.
Hato ticks all the boxes for Chelsea and he can also play at centre back, making him a great fit for Maresca’s system.
Despite his age he’s already played 111 times for Ajax and is a Dutch international, but Chelsea might need to move fast to beat the competition.
