Bayern Munich’s pursuit of a new high-profile left-winger this summer has been well documented. At the top of that list was Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola (22). The Frenchman emerged as a top target for the Rekordmeister and a transfer was explored.

Speaking ahead of PSG’s FIFA Club World Cup game against Bayern Munich, Luis Enrique had his say on Barcola’s future. “I expect him to play here for many more years, and I think he want to. So I have no doubt he’ll remain our player,” said the Spaniard (h/t: Kerry Hau).

Since Bayern’s interest in Barcola has quietened, the Bundesliga champions could make a move for Marcus Rashford should their pursuit of Liverpool’s Luis Diaz falls through. Bayern have already submitted an offer for Diaz, which was swiftly rejected with the Colombian not for sale. When it comes to Rashford, the Englishman is allowed to leave Manchester United.
