Arsenal came out as convincing winners against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners won 5-1 and made a statement that they are still hunting for the Premier League title and cannot be written off.

An early goal from Martin Odegaard in the second minute started the goal scoring at the Emirates Stadium but City equalised through Erling Haaland.

Goals from Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri in the second half made sure that the Gunners come out as winners against the Premier League champions.

Football pundit Gary Neville was impressed with Arsenal’s performance but particularly upset about how one of the players behaved in the win against City.

When Odegaard scored for Mikel Arteta’s side, Gabriel was pictured laughing in the face of City attacker Haaland.

Neville has criticised the Arsenal defender for his behaviour in the win against Man City.

‘I don’t like it. I think it’s a bit disrespectful. I know Haaland is the pantomime villain here today but there was something about it I didn’t like.

The reason why Gabriel celebrated like that was because some of the Arsenal players clashed with Haaland at the end of their match earlier in the season at Etihad Stadium.

City scored an injury time equaliser against the Gunners in that match and players from both the sides clash with Haaland telling Arteta to “stay humble”.

It started a feud between both the sides and the Gunners wanted to make a statement this time around against Guardiola’s side.

Perhaps Gabriel went a little overboard in doing that but there is nothing wrong with showing the right aggression and passion as this is what fans love about the game.
