An insight into the alleged financial terms on offer to Barcelona star Fermín López at Premier League giants Chelsea has on Wednesday been provided.

This, of course, comes amid mounting speculation linking the 22-year-old with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Fermín has for his part dominated the headlines across Europe over the last 24 hours.

After the Spanish international was not afforded a single minute of playing time in Barcelona’s weekend victory over Levante, the aforementioned Chelsea quickly moved to take advantage of the situation.

The Blues, it is understood, are now actively pushing to bring Fermín in before the upcoming transfer deadline.

The midfielder himself is said to be open to a potential move to west London, despite just recently reiterating his total commitment to Barcelona.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, an insight into one potential reason why has been forthcoming online.

As per journalist Miguel Rico, speaking during an appearance on COPE:

‘Fermín earns around €6 million at the Catalan club, and if he ends up signing for the London club, he could end up earning €15 million.’
