Swansea and Cardiff City's season ticket prices are evenly matched ahead of the 2025/26 campaign
For the first time in seven seasons, Cardiff and Swansea City won’t compete in the same division.
The Bluebirds embark on their first third-tier campaign since 2003, whilst the Swans aim to build on their strong end to last term under manager Alan Sheehan.
Wrexham will help carry the flag for Welsh sides in the Championship but won’t be able to fill the Cardiff-shaped hole in the South Wales derby.
Both Swansea and Cardiff enjoy huge fanbases, who will continue back their clubs ferociously next term.
Despite the two arch-rivals now competing in different divisions, their season ticket prices are evenly matched ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Relegation to League One brings forward many ramifications for the Bluebirds, with the financial burden damaging for a club of their status.
As previously mentioned, Cardiff will have to prepare for their first term outside either the Premier League or Championship in over 20 years.
Season ticket prices will vary from £284 to £534 for adults during the early bird window, which ends on July 4. This will increase to £334 and £584 once that period has come to a close.
There is also an option to purchase a family ticket in the family stand, which is priced at £649 (£749 once the early bird window ends) and provides a season ticket for four people.
This works out at £162.25 (£187.25) per person for 24 games of League One action.
The Bluebirds are still on the hunt for a new manager, after failing to pry Nathan Jones from the arms of recently promoted Charlton Athletic.
Whoever sits in the home dugout at the Cardiff City Stadium next season will be hoping to be roared on from the stands as they aim to take the club back into the second-tier.
The Swans finished the 2024/25 Championship season on a high, finishing only seven points shy of the play-offs.
This has led to increased excitement over next year, with fans hoping Sheehan is capable of leading the side back into the top-six hunt.
Season tickets will vary from £350 to £459 for an adult, with the latter price only available for seats in the South Stand, when purchasing an under-14 ticket along with an adult option.
Senior, student, armed forces and 18–23-year-old tickets are priced at £305, with under-18 options available at £160.
This means that the Swans actually have a less expensive highest-price option than their South Wales rivals, despite playing their trade a division above.
