It was a busy week for the seven Chivas Femenil players called up by the Tricolor, who, during the break in Liga MX Femenil for the FIFA Date, were active with different categories of the Mexican National Team.
Below, we tell you in detail how it went for the Rojiblancas, who are now focused on returning to the discipline of the Rebaño Sagrado.
SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM
During their tour of the United States, Mexico Women's national team faced Jamaica twice, first in Kansas City and then in Houston. Both Rebaño goalkeepers, Blanca Félix and Celeste Espino, were part of the Tricolor squad, where Celeste played all 90 minutes of the second match, leaving her goal intact in the 4-0 win over the Caribbeans.
U23
Mexico U-23 held two friendly matches on national territory, with three Rojiblanca players, Daniela Delgado, Isabela Esquivias and Ivonne González. First, the national team played to a goalless draw against Toluca and then defeated El Tri's U-20 team by the narrowest of margins.
U20
Dana Sandoval and Yessenia Guzmán played for Mexico U-20, which took on Pachuca and the national U-23 team. Against the Tuzas, the young Mexicans lost 1-0, and as mentioned above, lost by the same score to their U-23 counterparts.
