How AC Milan could hand Barcelona a significant financial boost in January | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona could be afforded an altogether timely financial boost by their counterparts at AC Milan before the month is out.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, who have confirmed that Milan are readying an all-out assault on the signature of Sporting CP star Francisco Trincão.

Attacker Trincão is for his part in the midst of a productive campaign to date, having racked up seven goals and 11 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

Such exploits have not gone at all unnoticed at the aforementioned Milan, who are understood to have made contact over a €25 million January swoop for the Portuguese.

And, in the case of as much being accepted, then Sporting will not be the only ones to benefit from a financial standpoint.

So too, it has been revealed, will Barcelona.

As part of the deal which saw Trincão make the move to Lisbon on a permanent basis in 2023, the Blaugrana secured a 50% sell-on clause.

A €25 million move to San Siro would therefore see the Camp Nou brass afforded an unexpected €12.5 million boost.
