Sky Germany reports that Hoffenheim are considering making a move for 1.FC Köln left-back Max Finkgräfe.
Talks have already started over the 21-year-old. Finkgräfe’s contract at the Rhein Energie Stadion expires next summer, meaning this would be the last time that Effzeh can get a substantial fee for the left-back.
Stuttgart are also interested in Finkgräfe but will only consider a move for him if he indicates that he wants to move to the MHP Arena. The reason for VfB’s hesitancy is due to the likely high price and the fact that they already have Maximilian Mittelstädt and Ramon Hendriks, who can play at left-back.
This season, Finkgräfe played regularly for Köln as they secured promotion back to the Bundesliga as winners of the 2.Bundesliga. It could also be possible that the 21-year-old waits until he understands his standing under the new Köln head coach, Lukas Kwasniok. If Finkgräfe decides to leave, Effzeh have Leart Paqarada as an alternative.
