Barcelona are set to receive the official La Liga 2024/25 trophy this Sunday during their final home match of the season against Villarreal at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuic, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The ceremony will mark the culmination of an extraordinary domestic campaign under Hansi Flick, which saw the Blaugrana lift La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
The presentation will take place in front of a packed stadium filled with jubilant fans who will have already had a taste of extravaganza during Thursday’s title celebration.
The official La Liga trophy will be handed over by Rafael Louzan, president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), in line with the federation’s protocol of presenting the trophy in either the decisive title-winning match or the next one played by the champions.
Club captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen is expected to lift the trophy, just as he did in April when he shared the Copa del Rey celebrations with Ronald Araujo.

This tradition of presenting the trophy shortly after the league has been clinched was introduced by the RFEF toward the end of the last decade. However, the policy has not always gone without complications.
Last season, when Real Madrid won the league under unusual circumstances — being crowned champions just hours after their match had already finished — the initial plan was to present the trophy in their following fixture away at Granada.
But out of respect for the home side, who were fighting relegation, Madrid requested a change. Eventually, the ceremony was held a few days later at the Santiago Bernabéu during their match against Alavés.
Barcelona, however, will face no such delay or controversy. Having wrapped up the title with three games to spare following a commanding 2-0 victory over Espanyol, the club now looks forward to an emotional send-off at Montjuic.
