Now a new report has emerged that states that Wirtz wants to join Manchester City. Subhankar Mondal has reported for TeamTalk that the German international is eager to play under Pep Guardiola. It is also included in Mondal’s report that Manchester City are willing to pay £125 million to sign Wirtz. Mondal further reports that Bayern Munich also want to sign the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker this summer. A bidding war between City and Bayern could well be Bayer Leverkusen’s preferred method of action as they bid to receive a sizable transfer fee for Wirtz.

It is well-documented that Manchester City are in desperate need of more creativity in midfield. That has been lacking this season. Florian Wirtz would help in this regard.
