At this point in time, FC Barcelona are flying both in their domestic league and even on the European stage. Under the leadership of Hansi Flick, La Blaugrana have continued to set new heights even by their own standards. However, due to the demanding nature of the football calendar, even Barcelona has players who are beginning to feel the toll of it.
Even beyond just injuries, players are often fatigued and unable to perform at their best level in each upcoming game. However, such are the demands of football at the highest level, and FC Barcelona are just one of the many teams that are trying their best to cope with them.
Unfortunately, this means getting through a season despite the injuries that take place. For instance, Pau Cubarsi was bruised quite badly in the previous game against Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League and is now looking to start the next game against Real Sociedad while wearing a protective mask.
Similarly, both Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal ended up missing the recent group training session due to their unique issues, and they’re available for the next game has left every Barcelona fan scratching their head. Fortunately, however, Hansi Flick has provided an update on all three players.
As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona coach spoke about the three players in his recent press conference and highlighted their individual progress and the kind of sensations that are there regarding each of them right now:
“I believe Pau will be there; he trained throughout the entire session. Lamine did specific strength training, and we’ll see how he’s doing tomorrow. Dani had issues starting last night, but with medication, I hope he’ll be ready for tomorrow.”
Cubarsi, as reported previously, could end up being there given the good sensations he had in the latest training session. On the other hand, even if Yamal travels with the team, it is looking unlikely that he ends up being given a start in the game against La Real, and similarly the same logic would apply to Dani Olmo as well in that case.
